Ayr United Football Club play in the First Division of the Scottish Football League. Formed in 1910, their nickname ‘The Honest Men’ was taken from Robert Burns’ famous poem ‘Tam O’ Shanter.’ The team was founded by a merge between former clubs Ayr Parkhouse F.C. and Ayr F.C., and the club has since spent 34 seasons in Scotland’s top division together. The team’s grounds are located at Somerset Park, which has a capacity to hold over 10,000 fans, and game tickets are readily available at the gate. When paying on the day, tickets are priced at £15 for the Main Stand, Ground and Enclosure, and £8 for Concessions. Ayr United also have a weekly lottery draw, which costs £1 per person and gives you the chance to win some generous prizes - £50 during the week and £1000 on Fridays, and even one of three prizes worth £10 each as consolation.
